Leman Russ Demolisher Finished -Tank 211 'Bumblebee'-

Gents, this one is a double blog post, so be sure to checkout the work in progress post for this tank here. As always, comments are always welcome. Seeing that the Preatorians were 'never' on campaign in the Orpheus Sector (thanks to the Ordo Redactus), it would be wise to check your security clearance before viewing these archives. -Tally ho lads, Colonel Ackland.

Unit report-
Leman Russ Demolisher *Bumblebee*
Lead Tank of 1st Squadron, 2nd Company,
10th Armoured Regiment of Praetoria,
5th Praetorian Assault Brigade.
Shown here on Campaign in the Orpheus Sector, Segmentum Tempestus. Note the left and right crew hatches which both have been adorned with Orpheus Sector markings. The large amount of stowed equipment seen here were typical for this formation on campaign. This particular Tank, nicknamed 'Bumblebee' proudly boasts 17 confirmed armour kills displayed in its main gun.  <ERROR 10> :\\<file corrupted or expunged> 5th Praetorian Assault Brigade was deployed >>>>>>>>> in conjunction with the 3rd Cavalry Brigade of the Macharian Thunder Guard under Major-General Margrave Chretzo Sigenandus by order of Inquisitor Hiram Ntshona. Combined, this formations ability to manoeuvre swiftly and hit hard proved a significant quandary to the xenos advance. The heavy guns of the 10th armoured were of noteworthy effect against enemy 'armoured vehicle' constructs, provided they managed to survive long enough. This particular Tank, nicknamed 'Bumblebee' proudly boasts 17 confirmed armour kills displayed on its main gun.

This vehicle was confirmed to be listed on the >>>>>> roll which left the Orpheus Sector on the Grandcruiser vengeance with Inquisitor Hiram Ntshona. It later appeared on the order of battle in the defence of  Hive Sigenandus, during the campaign that would become known as the Fall of Praetoria.

Oops. That's not good.
I have a tank commander also - he is magnetised so I can add him when he is painted up.

Thanks for stopping by gents.

  1. Tank looks amazing! Love the weathering on it. One suggestion though. Weather up the barrel some. The lower part of the tank looks amazing with all that dust and grim and mud, and the turret is a bit clean by comparison. (it should at least be dinged up some deflecting shots, rotating, firing, etc).

  2. Stowage on the tank is great as are the treads, thanks for sharing!

  3. Absolutely gorgeous finished result - definitely one of your best.

My only point of critique is perhaps the top hatch axe symbol might be a bit overkill? But then I am funny like that. :)

  5. As above. I like it - I was thinking that the amount of insignia on it was over the top, but it sort of works in a 'we keep getting moved on to the next formation' kinda way.

    Excellent scheme.

  7. Looks beautiful, I love all the insignia. I know you can put too much on but I don't think you have reached that level. Those big stowage square bags with the skill eagle on. Where are they from? They are great!
