I LOVE fluffy detail in my game over any sort of competitive attitude and so this is right up my alley. O well, I'll live vicariously through you instead! :)Daihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04978439841611727387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-278948911045039954.post-37046153410638785082013-02-26T18:45:43.539+10:302013-02-26T18:45:43.539+10:30I'd be happy to play in this campaign for sure...I'd be happy to play in this campaign for sure.

I'm not as much a fan of the post-game admin as Colonel Scipio, but the detail is impressive and a more complex approach is especially well-suited to a group of players with similar feelings on things, where everyone is on the same page and can chip in here and there to reduce the load, and even stand in for each other.

I love the potential for unusual situations in the write-up too. We often seem to forget that conditions on strange worlds could vary dramatically and that the range and complexity of the equipment being used could mean unexpected interactions. I'd be interested in how you represented these things, whether with list restrictions or in-game rules.

And the painted model discount is inspired - a very elegant solution, and hard to argue with if people have similar amounts of time available for painting. A general rule like that could really change things up.Porkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00604351052444947490noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-278948911045039954.post-13718967821822183162013-02-18T23:32:15.402+10:302013-02-18T23:32:15.402+10:30Thanks Kieran :)Thanks Kieran :)Col. This is a really great post - my FAVOURITE part of a campaign is the post-battle admin, writing citations, awarding promotions, etc. I like the 10% discount for painted minis - me and Headologist are doing a BFG campaign and it says in there that unpainted ships get treated as Ld 6 - to represent they haven't had proper trials, training, commissioning ceremony etc. This is getting printed off and put in my campaign file!Colonel Scipiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02632701529009379584noreply@blogger.com
