28mm Steampunk by Spartan Games
Dystopian Legions!!I I saw this on Ady's Praetorian XXIV blog and thought I'd share it here for my steampunk friends.
Here is the quick run down from the Spartan Games' site:
"DYSTOPIAN LEGIONS is a fast-paced, action-packed 28mm scale tabletop game set in the exciting world of Dystopian Wars, where Victorian super science fiction has created a fascinating and brutal arena for a deadly world war."
This looks amazing. The feel is spot on in my opinion.
Its about bloody time. There is so much interest in Victorian alternative gaming, particularly in recent times. Dystopian Wars always had a pull on me but the small scale just isn't my thing. I love 15mm but that Dystopian Wars is just too small. Now finally I have a game system other then 40k to use Victoria Lambs superb minis in. The models with this release look great. There is no questions as to what is is, it is steampunk!
"And if that isn't enough we’ve created full scale battle tanks, stoked full of detail and delivered in glorious high quality resin. Marvel at these giant behemoths of the battlefield…"
So, Dystopian Legions, anyone interested?

Cue Distopian Legions Kickstarter! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving those tanks.
They are really nice hey!
ReplyDeleteVictorian Sci-Fi is just exploding. there was comic story called Scarlet Traces that followed on the British Empire using Martian technology post War of the Worlds. A game at Legionary in Exeter this year had British Lancers on motorised penny farthings. British males of a certain age have been indoctrinated into the Redcoat/ pith helmet image due to over exposure to Zulu at Christmas and Easter!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links, they look impressive! I'm really into the Victorian steampunk-style thing, I have a few steam powered 'landship' tanks for another alternate history setting I have on the go. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI just cant believe GW had the opportunity to play into that market with the 40k praetorians but decided to drop it and not go near it.
ReplyDeleteI'm really looking forward to seeing how Spartan Games plays this one out.
